In order to successfully apply for a marriage license in Bastrop County, the following items are required:

Valid photo ID such as driver’s license, military I.D. card, passport, etc.

Social Security Number (SSN)

Pay $82 marriage license fee (Cash, debit cards, and credit cards are accepted although cards will have a $3.00 convenience fee. Personal checks are not accepted.).

There is no residency requirement to apply for a marriage license in Bastrop County.

Note that office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but you must arrive by 4:30 p.m. to purchase a Marriage License
