Lafayette Marriage License Information
To apply for your Florida Marriage License:
Both of you must show up in person at The Lafayette County Clerk of Courts
Each applicant must be present and show a valid photo ID
Each applicant must read the Family Law Handbook
Fill out the
Lafayette Marriage License Pre Application
prior to the in-person visit
Applicants with prior marriages must disclose the date that the marriages ended
Payment can be completed via cash or credit card. If using credit, a 3.5% service charge will be added by the card provider.
Florida couples wishing to waive the mandatory 3-day waiting period must show a Premarital course certificate of completion issued by an approved provider registered in Lafayette County.
Marriage License Lafayette Fees and Incentives:
The Florida marriage license fee is $86.00 per couple state-wide.
The State reduces the fee to $61.00 and waives the 3-day waiting period for all Florida residents who complete a 4-hr premarital course provided by an approved provider.
