Wisdom in a minute: "Comparison is The Thief of Joy".

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

"Comparison is the thief of joy" according to Theodore Roosevelt, and I couldn’t agree more with him. I always considered it a useless practice.

Do you remember getting upset if your parents or teachers compared you to your siblings, cousins or classmates? Did you feel attacked in any way?

The comparison was put forth, more than likely to see if ...

You would walk straight

get better grades

be more compliant

do your chores without much protesting

Do you remember the unpleasant feelings that such comparison elicited in you?

Remember?

Well, now that you're an adult, preparing for your big day, it's up to you to stop doing this to yourself.

Celebrate being different.

You are unique.

It will be a beautiful day.

There is no one like you. There is no one like him. I promise you that.
