To the Bride To Be: I Invite You To Practice Being Your Best Friend: Acknowledge Your Gifts.

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

I invite you to be your best friend.

To stop listening to the inner voice that has been telling you that whatever you do is not enough

That you are not _________ enough

smart

attractive

creative

patient

good____ daughter

good ____ friend

good ____ student

You know what I mean, right?

Quiet the inner critic that resides within your mind. Yes, you can do it.

Do it now.

This is what it takes to have the best possible relationship with yourself.

You are exquisitely flawed. You were perfectly created to be imperfect.

This makes you UNIQUE and SPECIAL

Repeat right now: I AM ENOUGH, JUST THE WAY I AM.

Now, believe it. It is true. You are exquisitely imperfect, like the rest of us...

...and, just like the rest of us, you have unique gifts as well.

PRACTICE BEING YOUR BEST FRIEND

1. I want to ask you to make a list of your gifts.

Don’t be shy now. Give yourself permission to shine and share your gifts with the world around you.

A special note: The word ‘but’ is not allowed. There is no need to extend disclaimers. “I sing, but….” “I write poetry, but..”. You are you. They broke the mold when you were created. I promise you that.

2. Now, go over your list of gifts and write what you feel when you share them with others.

Do you feel excitement? Where in your body do you feel it?

Do you feel joy? How does it show in your body?

3. Connect with the feelings and stay there.

4. Write your experience and use it as an affirmation of who you are. If you journal, write is an an entry.

You are being your best friend when you allow yourself to shine. Sharing your gifts is an act of generosity.

Be generous and let your gifts shine!

Yes, you are imperfect. You are exquisitely flawed. You were perfectly created to be imperfect.

This makes you UNIQUE and SPECIAL. Let’s not forget that.

Can you share some of your gifts with me?
